In 1832 William Corfield was one of 19 Corfields who could vote in the parliamentary elections. At the time William lived in Little Stretton, owning The Hall, church Stretton.
In 1854 he was still living in Little Stretton and was the highestbidder at a land auction held on 18th January in which he and Thomas Wilding of Ragdon took part. William bought the land for £760.
He left two wills, one dated 25th March 1854 and the other 13th October 1858.
William married Ann HARLEY on 17 May 1802 in Hope Bowdler. (Ann HARLEY died before 1812.)
William next married Jane BRIDGMAN on 7 Dec 1812 in Church Stretton.
