In 1730 Richard took charge of Chatwall Hall, although he was already described as 'of Chatwall' in 1728 when he was apprenticed to Richard Scriven.
In 1741 Richard apprenticed John Harris in husbandry and in 1745he gave 3 'customary messuages' to Robert Rawlins, his son-in-law.
Richard married Elizabeth RUSSELL, daughter of Edward RUSSELL and Unknown, on 14 May 1719 in Cardington. (Elizabeth RUSSELL was buried on 8 Dec 1720 in Cardington.) The cause of her death was Childbirth?.
