Peter Corfield attended Beauford Lodge Preparatory School, Somerset Road, New Barnet and then St. Paul's School London from 1935 to 1941 where he won a scholarship to study medicine at Charing Cross Hospital, gaining his MS in 1952, MB BS in 1946 and FRCS Eng 1950. He then worked as a consultant surgeon at Mount Vernon Hospital, Harefield Hospital, Wembley Hospital, and Northwood and Pinner Hospital.
He was Senior Surgical Registrar Charing Cross, Surgical Registrar at Wembley Hospital; lecturer in anatomy at King's College London.
In 1988 he retired to Chelmick near Church Stretton and later to Ludlow.
Peter married Myrra BELL. (Myrra BELL was born on 20 Jan 1917.)
