Richard Corfield attended Beauford Lodge Preparatory School, Somerset Road, New Barnet and St. Paul's School London.
Richard Corfield MBBS Lond, DObst RCOG qualified and worked at Charing Cross Hospital, London as a House Surgeon before becoming Resident House Officer at Kingsbury Maternity Hospital in 1954. After two years national service in the RAF he was in general practice for 32 years, mainly in Eastcote, Pinner, Middlesex.
He became the chairman of the Hillingdon Local Medical Committee and was GP representative on the Primary Care Unit of Hillingdon Health Authority.
'Bob' and Jean retired in 1989 to live in Nether Compton, Dorset.
Richard married Jean BROWN.
