Andrew Corfield went to Merchant Taylor's School and then went on to become a doctor. He was awarded his MB BS and MRCS Eng LRCP from London in 1974. He practiced at Bristol University, Southmead and Frenchay Hospitals in Bristol and Charing Cross Hospital in London. He gained his FRCS Eng and worked as a consultant surgeon in Hereford.
