Hubert Corfield's father was probably one of the four lodgers living with Anne Corfield in Brookhampton in 1861.
Hubert wanted to be a baker but his mother wanted him apprenticed as a shoemaker.
He was recorded in the March 1881 census living at Holdgate aged 19. He the moved to Leintwardine.
Hubert was a bakers assistant in 1899.
Hubert married Elizabeth HUMPHRIES on 24 Apr 1894. (Elizabeth HUMPHRIES died on 30 Nov 1940 in Kinton and was buried in Leintwardine.)
