Marjorie came to England when she was five. There she won a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music and became a concert pianist.
She met her future husband while on a concert tour of India in October 1915.

Marjorie married William Gordon CORFIELD, son of William Ricardo Edward Banks Charles CORFIELD and Emily CORFIELD, on 3 Nov 1915 in St Paul's Cathedral, Calcutta, India. (William Gordon CORFIELD was born on 7 Nov 1886 and died on 5 Oct 1965.)
