  General Notes:

Joseph and Jessie did not have children.
Joseph emigrated from England to New Zealand in 1849 on the "Mariner".
The "Mariner", 683 tons, arrived in Port Chalmers on June 2nd from London via Nelson with 64 passengers. As Joseph is not on the Port Chalmers passenger list, it must be assumed that he left the ship in Nelson.

Joseph married Jessie TROTTER in 1860 in New Zealand.
