  General Notes:

John Leigh Corfield went to Bronsgrove School (1938-1942) and served in the Royal Navy spending 12 months as a member of a Naval Liaison Party on a Free French naval corvette seeing action on 'D' Day. He qualified as an architect in 1951 having been awarded the Bannister Fletcher Silver Medal by the Royal Institute of British Architects in the previous year.
John won a Research Award in 1982 for the study of Poor Law Union workhouses 1834-40.

John married Nora Isabel MORGAN on 11 Oct 1952.
