General Notes:
Michael was educated at Marlborough College , Sept 1937 to Dec 1941 where he was a school prefect and won a scholarship. He received his MB B Chir (equivalent to BS, Bachelor of Surgery) from Cambridge University in 1950, qualifying as a doctor 2nd February 1950. He gained a BA from Corpus Christi, Cambridge where he served in the Home Guard and represented the university at squash. In 1951 Michael was declared unfit for military service and joined the merchant navy (P & O Steam Navigation) as assistant surgeon. In 1954 he obtained his DA England and in 1957 the FFARCS England. From 1960 he worked as a Consultant Anaesthetist at Barnet General Hospital, Finchley Memorial Hospital and Clare Hall Hospital and was Felllow of the Royal Society of Medicine and the Association of Anaesthetists, and Medical Intensive Care Society. By 1988 Michael was an Hon. Consultant Anaesthetist at St. Luke's Hospital for the Clergy, London and Consultant Anaesthetist for the Barner Health District.
