Joseph Corfield ran a large estate in Hinstock, Shropshire and in Montgomery. He was churchwarden at Waters Upton from 1727 to 1734.
As 'Mr. Joseph Corfield of Egmond' he was buried at Waters Upton. His will was proven in Lichfield, 20th April 1756, in which he left most of his estate to the Ormes.
