Frederick Corfield attended Oswestry Grammar School. He then went to Christ's College, Cambridge being awarded his BA in 1897. He was admitted as a solicitor into the Law Society in 1901, but was ordained deacon in 1905, and Priest at Chester in 1908. Frederick was Curate of Frodsham, Cheshire 1905-1909; Curate of Tarporley 1909-1910; Curate of Nantwich 1910-1912; Vicar of Weston 1912-1913; Rector of Church Eaton 1913-1923; Chaplain to the Forces 1917-1919; Vicar of Steeple with Tyneham and Grange, Dorset 1923-1927; Vicar of Nettlecombe, Somerset 1927 until at least 1939.
