Henry Ruxton CORFIELD 1
Henry Ruxton Corfield joined the HEIC (Honourable East India Company) as a cadet 1840/41, becoming and Ensign 10th June 1843. He was promoted Lieut, 9th Bengal NI (Native Infantry), 28th September 1845. He served during the Indian Mutiny as a Captain, a rank he had held since April 18157. His regiment in part mutinied, being disbanded in 1861. Henry then became an interpreter, 14th Foot in 1862.
