Henry Magness Vah Corfield was Lieutenant, later Captain, 9th Bengal NI (Native Infantry) Both the Corfield and the Farrell families lived in Hyderabad, where for many years and several generations they worked in the service of the Nizams of Hyderabad, the richest of the Indian princes, who ruled (with British advisers) over a state in which some 23 million people lived.
He died following a duck shoot.
Henry married Annie Roselind FARRELL, daughter of Judge FARRELL and Unknown. (Annie Roselind FARRELL died in 1912 in India and was buried in Secunderabad.)
