William Corfield went to Christ's College, Cambridge on 14th December 1829, graduating in 1834, having been ordained in 1833. He served as priest at Lichfield in 1834.; Chaplain to his father at Water's Upton in 1841; Rector of Birling, Kent 1845-50 Rector of Llanfoist, Monmouthshire 1850-63; and finally Rector of Llangattock-juxta-Usk, Monmouthshire from 1863 until his death.
He left £5761 in his will which named his son William as executor.
Possibly second wife Lucy aged 60 in 1881 census?
