Frederick Edward Corfield was educated at Rugby School. He then went into the army and became Lieut later Adjutant 62nd foot (Wiltshire Regiment). After he got married Frederick, was posted to Moulmein, Burma. Moulmein was a garrison town on the Salwen River and was described as the most beautiful town in Burma.
Frederick was promoted to Captain on 21st September 1837 and returned to England with his wife. However they both died en route, in Madeira.
A tablet was placed in Pitchford Church and there is also an enscription in Moulmein.
Frederick married Edith GODFREY. (Edith GODFREY died on 23 Aug 1838 in Madeira.)
