Edwin Corfield went to Westminster School from 1899 to 1904; The Royal Military Academy; and matriculated at Pembroke College, Oxford in 1904.
He served in the First World War, becoming 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Marine Artillery on 25th April 1915 and becoming Lieutenant on 20th November of the same year. Edwin was later promoted to Captain on 4th january 1919.
Helater emigrated to Argentina where he worked on the railways.
