Henry Corfield moved to Newport, Shropshire.
He paid 6/- for three hearths in 1672.
His will states:
"In the name of God Amen, 5th February, 36th year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord Charles II [1684]... I Henry Corfield of Newport bequeath unto my love my wife, Elizabeth Corfield all my estate wealth and personal goods... I bequeath unto my son, Thomas Corfield, the farm, farmhouse and yard and my house wherein I now do inhabit and dwell... provided he does not marry with Elizabeth Brockton, daughter to Brockton of Newport, aforesaid, widow, but if., Thomas Corfield do and shall marry with the said Elizabeth Brockton aforesaid then I do hereby make void my former gifts before mentioned and only hereby give and bequeath unto my said son Thomas the sum of 2/-"
