Margaret's will reads;
"In the name of God amen I Margaret Corfield of the Moor, in the Parish of High Ercall....commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God in hope of eternal life.... My body I commit to the earth to be decently buried.. As to the Temporal Estate that God has blest me with... I give to my daughter Elizabeth Acherly 1/-. I leave to my son John Wood 50 to be paid to him 2 years after my decease and the bed over the parlour with all the furniture belonging to it with a chest marked with TL and five pairs of sheets (3 fine and 2 coarse ones), and a dozen of napkins and 2 broad cloths. I leave to my son, William Wood 1/-. I leave to my son in law, John Acherly 1/-. I leave to my son in law Richard Wood 1/-. All the rest of my personal estate, debts, goods and chattels, I leave to my son Thomas Wood except such chattels, namely a stone horse {stallion}, a bay colt, a 4 year old bullock and a 2 year old bullock, and 8 sheep which are the property of my son, John Wood, and I do hereby appoint my son, Thomas Wood, sole executor of this my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have put my hand and seal this 9 March 1747.
