bullet  General Notes:

Elizabeth Marcia Corfield was always known as Betty, she never married. Although born in Wigan she spent most her life in Southport.
She was educated at Roedean School and then lived with her parents in Lulworth Road, Southport until her father's death in 1939.
She then moved with her mother to Gerrards Cross where her brother Richard was living at the time.
During the war, with her brother now in the army, Betty and her mother were rather isolated and when the war ended they moved back to Southport where they bought 16 Rawlinson Road where they lived until Betty's mother's death.
After her mother died, Betty moved to 9F Rawlinson Road and she bought and operated Elizabeth Parker Antique Shop in Churchtown. It was at this time that she joined the Southport Soroptimists and eventually became Chairwoman.
She then moved to Flat 1, Howard Court, Albert Road, Southport, PRN 9LN where she died one morning whilst eating her breakfast.
Betty chain smoked allher life.
