 General Notes:
John Corfield was the heir to Thomas Corfield and inherited Chatwall Hall. On 24th October 1745 he leased 'Lilywood and other lands in Rushbury' from Sir Edward Smythe of Acton Burnell.
In 1756 he ws named as father of Mary Jenkin in a bastardy bond.
When John died 'the property of Chatwall passed from his descendents into the families of Butcher and Bourne'
On a tombstone, formerly in Cardington Church, his coat of aarms was shown as that of Corfield quaartered with that of Walthall.
John married Mary TYLER, daughter of William TYLER and Unknown, on 20 Aug 1751 in Wem.
