Lord of the manor of Longville and also of Chatwall Hall, Cardington, Shropshire (both places are close to Corfield)
Richard Corfield is named in a will dated 1572 when he paid a tax on lands in Cardington, and on 7th April 1582 he bought lands from Sir John Smith at Stoke St. Milborough.
